There was no joy for our Randwick Petersham 1st, who were bettered by Eastern Suburbs 1st on Saturday at Waverley Oval.
In terms of totals, it was Randwick Petersham 1st 10/108 and Eastern Suburbs 1st 219 and 6/148. Leading the way was Daya Singh with 28 off 26 balls. Nick Palmer took a five-wicket haul for the hosts, finishing with five for 23.
The wickets were shared around, with Daya Singh taking three for 22. Matthew Moran made a polished 76 for our opponents, a well-deserved half-century. Trystan Kennedy helped the hosts with 43.
Not our day, but there's plenty to work with. The results haven't gone our way lately, but the side will keep at it. The group will be keen to bounce back.
