There was no joy for our Randwick Petersham 3rd, who lost their match against Penrith 3rd in a disappointing result.
Penrith 3rd's innings closed at 8/198 from 50 overs. Frederick Bell passed fifty for our opponents, finishing with 52. The wickets were shared around, with Gregor Aitchison taking three for 39. Ryan Di Blasio bowled well for two for 43.
In reply, we finished on 186 from 45.5 overs. Jack Barclay posted a half-century, making 67 with nine fours. Aitchison provided good support with 31. For the hosts, William Hicks took three for 19 off nine overs.
Credit to our opponents, who played well. The team will be keen to turn things around after two straight losses.
Congratulations to the hosts on the win.
