In NSW Premier Cricket (Men's), our Randwick Petersham 5th were downed by Northern District 5th in a disappointing result.
Northern District 5th batted first and reached 6/130 from 20 overs. Credit to Riley McDowell, who made a half-century (62) for our opponents. Massimo Di Paolo grabbed three for 31. Conor Moylan finished with two for 15.
In reply, we finished on 113 from 19.3 overs. Kaylan Mantara top-scored, making 26 off 28 balls. Paolo provided good support with 25. Alish Hirani was the pick of the hosts' bowlers with four for 28.
There were some good individual efforts to build on.
The team will be keen to turn things around after two straight losses. Plenty to work on, and plenty to like.
