On Saturday at University Oval No. 1, our Randwick Petersham Green got past SUCC Senior Men Metro Cup thanks to Jethro Sharman's 80.
The scorecard reads Randwick Petersham Green 243, SUCC Senior Men Metro Cup 10/179. Jethro Sharman's 80 off 141 balls was a half-century to remember. Marcus D’Ambrosio posted a half-century, making 71 off 149 balls with six fours. Isaac Keighran claimed four for 22 for the hosts.
The wickets were shared around, with Roan Lavender taking three for 29. Thanush Gowda claimed three for 29 as well. Zachary Marando made a polished 52 for our opponents, a well-deserved half-century. There were 44 from Samuel Hepburn for the hosts.
A great result for the group. That makes up for our loss to our opponents earlier in the season. Thanks to the hosts for the contest.
