There was no joy for our Randwick Petersham Poidevin-Gray Shield, who came off second best against St George on a day to learn from.
St George finished on 6/268, and we finished on 10/235. Alexander Parthenis posted 98 for our opponents, a fine fifty. Max Kennedy grabbed two for 35. A special mention to Luke Callanan, who bowled a maiden.
Alexander Lee-Young brought up a cracking century, finishing with 103 off 98 balls. Adam Leckey played a handy knock of 30. For the hosts, Rithvik Kumar took three for 46 off 8.1 overs.
There were some stylish individual efforts to build on.
Well played to our opponents.
