It was one to learn from for our Randwick Petersham 4th, who couldn't get past Fairfield-Liverpool 4th in one to put behind us.
Fairfield-Liverpool 4th's innings ended at 9/301, ours at 9/213. Rory Steinberg batted well for 34 off 48 balls with two fours and two sixes. Jack Gibbens-Johnson chipped in with 31. Credit to Brendon Orr, who took three for 20 for the hosts.
Nathan Stares tore through the batting order, taking five for 46. There were also wickets for Toby McDonald (three for 44). Fifty for Harshit Reddy Naga, who made 69 for our opponents.
There were some stylish individual efforts to build on.
It's two defeats on the trot, and the team will be eager to bounce back. Well played to the hosts.
