There was no joy for our Randwick Petersham 3rd, who lost out to Eastern Suburbs 3rd on a day to learn from.
We posted 181, and Eastern Suburbs 3rd 9/182. Private player made a great 85 off 83 balls, a well-made fifty. Jake Myers weighed in with 37 off 50 balls. Our opponents' best with the ball was Elliot Lowe (three for 24).
Matthew Hield made a stylish 53 for the hosts, a well-deserved half-century. Clayton Herbst chipped in with 36 for our opponents. Toby Mackenzie was the pick of the bowlers, taking four for 26 off eight overs.
We'll take the lessons from this one and go again.
On to the next one.
