It was one to learn from for our Randwick Petersham 4th, who were bested by Hawkesbury 4th with lessons to take away.
Hawkesbury 4th set the target, making 9/259 from 50 overs. Our opponents' best was a half-century from Channpreet Singh, who made 63 not out. Kaden Warner bowled cleverly to finish with three for 39. Ryan Di Blasio offered good support with two for 47.
Chasing 260, we reached 9/248 from 50 overs. Laurence Bennell posted a half-century, making 94 not out with five fours and four sixes. Benjamin Chaplin weighed in with 39.
There were some quality individual efforts to build on. The team will be keen to bounce back.
